Our Mission

The mission of Solid Rock Fellowship is to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew, chapter 28, “… go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Our Vision

Solid Rock Fellowship endeavors to reach out, both to the churched and the unchurched, through prayer,    preaching the word of God, fellowship with believers, and addressing the practical and spiritual needs of the lost,   the hurting, the hungry, the sick, and the poor, thereby testifying to the love of Jesus Christ for all people.

Our Values

We acknowledge that we are not perfect, yet through prayer and the help of the Holy Spirit, we worship the one true God, the Creator of the universe , who is the Giver and Sustainer of life. We strive to be humble, honest, followers of Jesus Christ, who live our lives according to the Scriptures. In that regard, we offer freedom to one another to differ on issues of belief or practice where the biblical and historical record seems to allow for a variety of interpretations of the will and purposes of God. That’s because we seek to focus on what unites us as followers of Christ, rather than on what divides us.  We are generous with our time and money. We practice what Jesus taught as best as we  can, while avoiding self-righteousness and holding grudges. We ask for forgivness of our sins and forgive those who sin against us.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that they are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

What we believe:

We believe that humanity has been separated from God by sin and the only means of salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death and resurrection.

We believe that when people confess Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, they are born again of the Spirit and become new creations in Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.

As evangelicals, we emphasize the sovereignty of the Word of God over all creedal interpretations; thus, we confess that the holy scriptures, the Old and the New Testaments, are the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct, while affirming the historic confessions of the Christian Church, particularly the Apostles’ Creed:

Apostles Creed

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Christian church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen
