Pastor Jason Taylor
Interim Preaching Pastor

Jason Taylor grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, and was 10 years old when he became a Christian and felt called to teach God’s Word.  He attended U.W. Stout in Menomonie, WI where he majored in Construction Management. Pastor Taylor earned his Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies at Calvary Chapel Bible College in California.

After Bible College, he returned to Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, Patricia (Patsy) a WI native; at a Bible Study that he taught. They were married in the summer of 1998 and moved down to the Chicago land area where he became a Youth Pastor as well as starting a Calvary Chapel home fellowship. Jason continued with his tent-making occupation of heavy equipment operating while leading this small fellowship.

Jason and Patsy’s sons, Isaac and Clark, were born in the Chicago area where they homesteaded and ministered for 10 years, but the love of Wisconsin would not go away. Some friends in the Dunn County Wisconsin area asked if they would move up to the area to Pastor a Bible Study in 2008. The Taylor’s sold their house in Illinois and Otter Creek Christian Fellowship was started outside of Wheeler, WI. While living in Wisconsin, their third child Ingrid was born. One scripture that has blessed their family while ministering in Wisconsin is, 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ….”

Otter Creek Christian Fellowship is affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Association of churches (Solid Rock Fellowship is following a process which leads to affiliation with Calvary Chapel). The distinctive of Calvary Chapel that sticks out the most is the emphasis on expository Bible teaching. Chuck Smith, who started the first Calvary Chapel in Southern California during the Jesus movement, saw that the hippies wanted to learn the Bible so he taught verse by verse, chapter by chapter, which allowed the whole congregation to grow in understanding th

e Bible.

Pastor Taylor’s role will be to concentrate on preaching and Pastor Ken Mettler, founding pastor of Solid Rock Fellowship, will serve the congre

gation in other
